Does this sound familiar?

Knowledge is everywhere around you, but reaching its meaning still takes time.

📚 Scattered sources

A file here, a link there, plus slides and a recording somewhere else. You need one place that brings them together.

🎙️ Hours you do not have

A recorded meeting, lecture or useful video may contain real value, but revisiting every minute is exhausting.

✨ A good idea… then what?

You want a summary, map or something you can listen to, but changing content from one format to another consumes time and energy.

The idea, simply

An intelligent space built around your sources

Gemini Notebook — the new name for the product formerly known as NotebookLM — helps you collect, understand and discuss sources, then turn them into multiple outputs. Its responses are grounded in the sources you select and link back to relevant passages for easier verification.

📥

1. Gather your sources

Documents, slides, sheets, web pages, images, audio and supported public YouTube videos — in one organised notebook.

💬

2. Ask and direct

Write a clear prompt in Arabic or English: summarise, compare, extract, organise or explain for a chosen audience — then improve the result step by step.

3. Understand, then create

Review links back to the sources, then turn the knowledge into an audio or visual overview, mind map, infographic, flashcards or quiz.

Use the right tool

Not a replacement for chat tools — a different workspace

Learn when to use a general chat for open exploration and when to build a notebook around a defined collection of sources.

General chat tools Gemini Notebook
Starting point An open question or idea A source collection you choose and organise
Best use Brainstorming, writing and exploration Understanding, analysing and comparing sources
Returning to evidence Varies by tool and mode Inline links to relevant source passages when available
Safe-use rule Verify before relying on or sharing output Verify too, especially for decisions and consequential content

The goal is not one favourite tool; it is a sound habit: choose sources, direct the AI, then verify.

From real work in Oman

Try several paths — then choose what serves you

This is a general introductory cohort, not a specialised research course; you will explore a range of uses in one experience.

🎙️ Meeting or interview

Turn audio into workable material

Import a supported audio recording, review the transcript, and extract themes, decisions and next actions.

▶️ Learn from video

Understand a YouTube video without losing the thread

Add a supported public video link, explore its transcript, and ask about ideas, examples and points to revisit.

📄 Everyday work

Question a long file instead of browsing at random

Extract dates, figures and obligations, and compare documents while returning to relevant passages.

🎧 Learn on the move

Turn sources into a spoken conversation

Create a podcast-style Audio Overview and direct it towards what matters to you.

🧠 Understand and review

See the picture, then test yourself

Create a mind map, infographic, flashcards or a quick quiz from your sources.

🔎 Explore and research

Start a research question in an organised way

Gather initial sources, compare them, and distinguish source extraction from conclusions that need further verification.

A small studio inside your notebook

Do more than summarise — change how you understand

The same source can become a spoken conversation, visual overview, map or quiz. You will try these outputs and learn to direct them with a clear prompt instead of accepting the first result.

Availability, limits and generation time can vary by account, region and feature.

Common questions

Do I need a technical background?

Not at all. The programme is designed for non-technical professionals. If you use email and upload files, you are ready.

Is Gemini Notebook the same as NotebookLM?

Yes. Google renamed the product Gemini Notebook. The NotebookLM name may still appear in some links or interfaces during the transition.

Do I need a paid subscription?

You can start with a Google account and a free usage tier. Some features or higher limits can depend on account type, plan or region; we will explain what is available at delivery time.

Does it work with audio and video?

It can transcribe supported audio files on import and analyse available transcripts from supported public YouTube videos. It can also generate Audio and Video Overviews when the feature is available to the account.

Does it support Arabic?

It supports Arabic sources and prompts, including Arabic audio import. Results can vary with recording clarity, text quality and the source itself.

What should I bring?

Bring your laptop and a Google account you can access. We provide safe practice material, and you may bring non-confidential sources you have the right to use. Work or school accounts may require administrator enablement.

Can I upload files from work?

Not automatically. We cover privacy and content rights clearly: do not upload confidential, personal or protected information without permission and an approved organisational policy.

Which certificates will I receive?

Subject to attendance requirements, you receive the approved AI in Action programme certificate plus a Taim Academy certificate specifying the Gemini Notebook applied track.

What if I need to cancel after paying?

You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before the programme starts. The complete refund policy is sent in your registration confirmation email.

Your sources hold more than the first glance reveals.

In six hours, move from watching features to using them thoughtfully: clear sources, better prompts, useful outputs and verification before reliance.
