Acceptable Use Policy

1. Who This Applies To
This policy applies to all users of Taim Academy's platforms and services, including:
- Individual learners enrolled in public or corporate programmes
- Corporate and institutional participants (including government entities)
- Instructors, assistants, and staff accessing the admin or instructor portals
- Anyone accessing the Taim AI Lab (beta.taim.om / ai.taim.om) via SSO or direct login
- Visitors using public tools (AI Readiness Assessment, Data Story Quiz, Taim Pulse, Team AI Quiz)
Use of our services constitutes acceptance of this policy. This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Use
Our platforms and AI Lab are provided for the following purposes:
- Completing coursework, exercises, and projects within enrolled programmes
- Learning to use AI tools responsibly for professional and educational goals
- Exploring AI capabilities in the context of your industry or role, as guided by instructors
- Submitting assessments, surveys, and diagnostic tools provided by Taim Academy
- Collaborating with other participants on designated group activities
- Accessing course materials, resources, and AI Lab credits assigned to your account
3. Prohibited Conduct โ General Platform
The following are prohibited across all Taim Academy platforms:
- Sharing your account credentials, SSO token, or AI Lab access link with any other person
- Attempting to access another user's account, data, or materials
- Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or organisational affiliation
- Uploading, submitting, or distributing content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or offensive toward any individual or group
- Any activity that violates Omani law, including the Cybercrime Law (Royal Decree 12/2011) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Act
- Recording live sessions (audio, video, or screen capture) without prior written permission from Taim Academy
- Reproducing, redistributing, or commercially exploiting course materials, datasets, or brand assets
- Using our platforms for unsolicited commercial communications (spam)
- Attempting to disrupt, overload, or compromise the security of any Taim Academy system
4. Prohibited Conduct โ AI Lab Specific
The following are strictly prohibited within the Taim AI Lab (beta.taim.om / ai.taim.om):
- Harmful content generation โ using AI models to produce content that incites violence, hatred, discrimination, self-harm, or terrorism in any form or language
- Illegal content โ generating content that violates Omani law or international law, including content that defames individuals, violates privacy, or constitutes fraud
- Jailbreaking & prompt injection โ attempting to bypass, override, or manipulate the safety guardrails of any AI model through adversarial prompts, role-play framing, or other techniques
- Misinformation generation โ deliberately generating and distributing false or misleading information, fake news, fabricated quotes attributed to real people, or synthetic disinformation
- Impersonation โ using AI to generate content that falsely impersonates a real person, institution, or authority
- Sensitive personal data in prompts โ entering national ID numbers, passport numbers, financial account details, medical records, or other sensitive personal data of yourself or third parties into AI prompts
- Commercial scraping โ systematically extracting, harvesting, or storing AI outputs at scale for commercial purposes outside the programme
- Credit abuse โ attempting to exploit, transfer, or artificially inflate AI Lab credits allocated to your account
- Unauthorised model access โ attempting to access AI models, API keys, endpoints, or system prompts beyond what is presented in the Lab interface
- Academic dishonesty โ submitting AI-generated content as your own work in assessments where this is not permitted, without disclosure
Note on AI outputs: AI models can generate plausible-sounding but incorrect or harmful content. Taim Academy does not endorse any AI-generated output as fact, advice, or official position. Users are responsible for critically evaluating all AI outputs before acting on them.
5. Data & Privacy Responsibilities
When using our platforms, you are responsible for:
- Not entering personal data of third parties (colleagues, clients, patients, students) into AI prompts without their knowledge and consent
- Not uploading confidential organisational documents into AI tools unless your organisation has authorised this and you have reviewed the relevant AI provider's data handling terms
- Understanding that prompts submitted to AI models are processed by third-party providers (Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, OpenAI, and others) outside Oman โ see our Privacy Policy for details
- Reporting any suspected data breach or privacy incident to info@taim.om immediately
6. AI Provider Policies
The AI Lab connects to models governed by their providers' own acceptable use policies. By using the Lab you also agree to comply with:
- Anthropic Usage Policy (Claude)
- Google Generative AI Terms (Gemini)
- OpenAI Usage Policies (ChatGPT)
- xAI Terms of Service (Grok)
- DeepSeek Terms of Service
Where our policy is stricter than a provider's policy, ours applies. Where a provider's policy is stricter, theirs applies. In all cases, the most restrictive applicable rule governs.
7. Reporting Violations
If you witness or suspect a violation of this policy โ including harmful AI outputs, privacy breaches, or misconduct by another participant โ please report it to:

Reports are treated confidentially. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a genuine concern in good faith.
8. Enforcement & Consequences
Taim Academy reserves the right to take any of the following actions upon confirmed or suspected violation, proportionate to the severity:

| Moderate | Repeated misuse of AI tools, academic dishonesty | Temporary suspension of AI Lab access; no certificate issued |
| Serious | Jailbreaking, harmful content generation, data privacy breach | Immediate permanent account suspension; no refund; incident reported to AI provider |
| Illegal | Cyberattack, fraud, illegal content generation | All of the above + report to relevant Omani authorities (Royal Oman Police, TRA) |
For corporate and institutional enrolments, violations by an individual participant may also be reported to the contracting organisation in accordance with the training agreement.
9. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal within 7 calendar days by emailing info@taim.om with:
- Your full name and account email
- The action taken and the date
- Your explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
Appeals are reviewed by management (not the person who took the original action) within 5 business days. Our decision on appeal is final.
10. Amendments
We may update this policy as our services evolve, new AI models are integrated, or applicable laws change. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always at taim.om/aup.
