Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to all public training programmes offered by Taim Academy and paid for directly by individuals via our website. Corporate training contracts and custom programmes are governed by the commercial agreement in place between Taim Academy and the contracting organisation.

2. Cancellation by Participant

Note on processing fees: Payment processing fees deducted from refunds are charged by Thawani, not by Taim Academy. We do not profit from these deductions.

3. Rescheduling by Participant

• 7+ days notice: Free rescheduling to any upcoming session of the same programme, subject to availability.
• 3–6 days notice: One free reschedule permitted; additional changes incur a rescheduling fee of OMR 5.
• Less than 3 days: Rescheduling treated as a cancellation under Section 2 above.
• Rescheduled seats are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing by Taim Academy.

4. Seat Transfers

You may transfer your confirmed seat to another individual at no charge, provided:

• You notify us at training@taim.om before the session begins
• You provide the full name and contact details of the replacement participant
• The replacement participant meets any stated pre-requisites for the programme

Taim Academy reserves the right to decline a transfer if the replacement does not meet programme requirements.

5. Cancellation by Taim Academy

If Taim Academy cancels a scheduled course for any reason (insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, force majeure, or events beyond our reasonable control), you will receive:

• ✅ A full refund of your payment, including any processing fees, within 7 business days; or
• ✅ Priority enrolment in the next available session of the same programme at the same price

We will notify you as soon as practicable, and always aim to give at least 48 hours' notice. In cases of force majeure (natural disaster, government directive, public health emergency), the same options apply with notification as soon as reasonably possible.

6. Corporate & Institutional Training

Cancellation and refund terms for corporate training programmes, MoU-based partnerships, and custom programmes are governed exclusively by the signed commercial agreement between the organisation and Taim Academy. Where a specific clause is absent from that agreement, this policy applies as a fallback.

7. AI Lab Access & Digital Services

• AI Lab access bundled with a course follows the course refund policy above.
• Standalone digital assessments (AI Health Check, AI Readiness Assessment) are non-refundable once the report has been delivered, as the service is fully consumed at that point.
• Unused AI Lab credits are non-refundable but may be carried forward to a future enrolled programme at our discretion.

8. How to Request a Refund or Reschedule

1. Email training@taim.om with subject line: "Refund / Reschedule — [Your Name] — [Course Name]"
2. Include your full name, booking reference or payment confirmation, and your preferred resolution (refund, credit, reschedule, or transfer)
3. We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and resolve it within 5 business days
4. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7 business days (Thawani processing times may apply)

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you may:

• Escalate to our management at info@taim.om
• File a complaint with the Consumer Protection Authority, Sultanate of Oman
• Refer the matter to the competent courts in Muscat, Oman
