Royal Decree Impact Analyser

Project Overview

New legislation in Oman โ€” including Royal Decrees, ministerial decisions, and executive regulations โ€” must be reviewed carefully for downstream impact on existing policy frameworks and organisational responsibilities. Maha built an AI agent that automates a substantial portion of that review. Given a new legislative text, the agent produces a structured impact report that identifies what has changed compared to the previous version, maps which government domains and ministerial responsibilities are affected, flags potential conflicts with existing decrees or regulations, estimates the implementation timeline based on language in the text, and recommends which departments should be briefed and when. The output is a formal legal analysis document that can be reviewed and signed off by legal staff rather than written by them from scratch โ€” compressing a multi-day analytical exercise into a one-pass AI draft with human oversight at the end. Scored 88.6 out of 100.
